We all have so much to be thankful for during this season of Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, there are many in our community that are struggling to put food on the table. United Way of Eddy County's Project Feeding Families Program has partnered with our City of Carlsbad Mayor, Dale Janway, to help feed some of the most vulnerable. Until November 15th, we will be accepting donations to directly help two groups in our community that are providing this service to so many.
Packs of Hunger provides over 300 backpacks filled with food for children to take home every weekend. These children are at risk of not having food when school breakfast and lunches are not available.
Southeast Community Action Corporation - Senior Meals Program provides about 400 hot meals daily to our senior citizens either by delivering meals to our homebound seniors or by a drive thru pick up service now during the COVID-19 restrictions.
You may choose to designate to one of these organizations or choose to equally split your donation between the two.
Our Giving Thanks Campaign extends out into North Eddy County. Until November 15th, we will be accepted donations to directly help two groups in Artesia that help so many every day.
Artesia Emergency Relief provides food, rent and utility assistance daily to so many families helping them keep food on the table on a roof over their head.
St. Vincent De Paul - Artesia provides food to families daily. They help hundreds locally that would go without if it wasn't for their assistance.
