Position Type: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)
Location: Main office in Carlsbad with travel around Eddy County (United Way of Eddy County)

What You’ll Do
You’ll be the heartbeat of our front office, the friendly voice on the phone, the supportive hand behind our community events, and a creative helper telling our story.
-
First Point of Hope (211 & Community Intake): Be the welcoming first touchpoint for individuals reaching out for help. You’ll listen with empathy, conduct intake assessments, and connect neighbors with critical local resources and assistance programs.

-
Marketing & Storytelling Spark: Team up with our marketing lead to snap event photos, draft punchy social media updates, design simple flyers (Canva fans welcome!), and share real-world impact stories that inspire Eddy County.
-
Team & Office Operations: Keep our mission running smoothly behind the scenes by supporting the Executive Director with light scheduling, greeting office guests, managing mail, and keeping records organized.
Who You Are
-
A People Person: You bring warm, authentic energy to every conversation, whether speaking with a family in crisis, a local donor, or a volunteer partner.
-
A Community Builder: You genuinely care about Eddy County and want to be part of a team that leaves the place better than we found it.
-
Organized & Flexible: You can roll with the punches, prioritize tasks, and jump from scheduling a meeting to setting up an event banner without missing a beat.
-
Tech & Creative Savvy: Comfortable with standard office tools (email, documents, simple spreadsheets) and excited to learn or use platforms like Canva and social media channels.
Qualifications & Assets

High school diploma or equivalent (some college or office/customer service experience is a bonus!).

Experience in office coordination, customer service, or community-facing roles preferred.
-
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a huge asset (highly preferred to connect seamlessly with all members of our community).
-
Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for local errands and event support.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
-
Schedule: Flexible part-time hours (20–25 hours/week) designed to fit work-life balance.
